My initial impressions of the device are very positive, and I will hopefully have a full review up by week.
In the meantime, I decided to test this device to it’s limits. I attempted to initiate a Time Machine backup from the mailbox at the end of my street. Watch the video to see what happens.

It’s good to know that it works at such a great distance, although I don’t take my laptop out to the mailbox much

Great video, although my router is in the basement of my house, so the signal quality outside even at the treeline (about 25 feet from exterior wall) is next to nothing. Great job getting it to go out that far!

Wow the N router goes for miles our G router only just covers the house mind you it is a big old house full of concrete. But that is super cool I shame I have no need for one and even if I did get one I move around to much for it to be useful. What did you use to make the video ScreenFlow??

Cool video. I didn’t realise Wi-Fi could go that far outdoors. I guess that’s the difference N makes.

Oh, I wish I had backed up. I’m getting a flashing ? on starting my MacBook, and nothing can repair it.
