Tapku
After I wrote about my ideal notes app, Jorge Quinteros discovered Tapku To-do Lists.
It’s a little buggy, the interface is cumbersome, and quickly adding items to the list is a pain. But it gets a lot of things right. You can easily switch between multiple lists, swipe to strike items off, and even change the UI to look more like a notepad.
For 99ยข it comes close. Very close.
The underlying problem with all these list apps seems to be that they still view themselves as task managers and fancy todo lists. I don’t want another todo list app. I want to be able to track the groceries I need to pick up, the stamps I need to collect to complete my collection, or the list of Fusion sites that we want to expand to. None of those need extra dates or tags or notes attached to them.
Make data entry as quick and easy as the built-in Notes app, and I’m sold.
